Our addictive flavors include Spiced Up Dill Pickle, Smoke N'Heat Bacon, Sweet N'Spicy Habanero Kimchi Hot Sauce, Jalapeño Garlic Salsa & more! Desperately Seeking Hot Sauce is not your average hot sauce, and our labels and branding reflect that. See you out there, Megs❤️🔥

The Lonely Printer
Linocut printing is an art form that’s been around since the late 19th century and has proven popular with full time artists and hobbyists alike ever since. But, like many traditional art forms they can get a little “dusty”. So, with my pieces I have tried to blow-off some of that dust by infusing the work with whimsy, humour and sometimes macabre themes. Print-making is a nearly perfect union of all the aspects of the creative process I love: conceptualization, experimentation, design and the tactile--all with a dash of blind luck! In essence, it scratches my many artistic itches. I hope my work scratches yours.

Snow Bunny Mermaid
Alison’s current work focuses on the development of a playful and absurd cast of small creatures. The creatures share a vulnerable, somewhat fragile quality, yet are assigned vital force in their existence. The development of these characters and their worlds is drawn from her background. She grew up on a farm outside a ghost town in southwestern Saskatchewan. The ghost town nurtured a passion for the aesthetic of antiques and vintage elements present in her work. Meanwhile, the prairies inspired attention to nature, animals, and tiny details which she depicts. These elements are brought to life through her paintings, drawings and intaglio printmaking which are often nestled into handmade and vintage frames. The ornate picture frames provide a whimsical element to further the theatrical narrative in the work. In addition, Alison is also a professional mermaid and sets up submerged cameras to capture performative, artistic underwater videos, and photographs of her mermaid swimming. Alison holds a BFA from the University of Regina and an MFA in Printmaking from Louisiana State University. Originally from the South Saskatchewan prairies, she currently lives in Calgary. She is involved in the art community, exhibiting her work, coordinating community exhibition and events, teaching and volunteering. Her work has been exhibited in Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia.
